Nice surprise -- U. guentheri
Hatched our first U. guentheri today!
Oddly enough, I had just found the egg under a fresh clutch yesterday!
Nice to start off the year with a bit of luck!
I'll try to get better pics once he/she is out of it's first change of clothes...

Talk about timing eh? Do you know the lineage of the parents?
Congrats!

Good job! I would definetly watch out, that the young are not kept very humid or to spray them, this will do not do them good, especially right before their first shed. I keep mine in the incubator for a few days before transporting them to their new enclosure, in which it is about 60 to 70 percent RH.

Thanks all! Had to assist a little with the shed... but he/she seems to be settling right in!

Yeah, it ran a muck in the cup was caked with sand. Gave her a quick spritz to wash it away

Definitely a bit of a shock. Took a minute to register which egg it was... wasn't expecting any for a few more weeks. The egg was tucked way down in the axel of a plant. Looked pretty ugly too, didn't think it had much of a chance. Both parents were from Neil Meister, only have exact cross on the female though.

Thanks for the info Jody! So you keep them fairly dry at the beginning? Have you found them to be overly temperature sensitive as hatchlings?
