10% will KILL your uroplatus!

I found that out this past winter. I lost two CB adults that were extremely healthy. The one female had UV poisoning...Her one eye had bubbled out a little. Someone gave me the bulbs for chameleons so I decided to use them...big mistake.

Oops! I missed that bit! I have only ever used 5% and it works a treat. I have never used >5% but have heard other accounts of Uroplatus being sensitive to higher UVB exposure. UV is generally considered beneficial but non-essential for Uroplatus.

UV has been changed and Dracaena is now in. Hope this is looking better now.

It looks great! I can see him asleep on that vertical stick on the right hand side - is that his new favourite spot?

Thanks Graham....you've very good eyesight lol Took me a while to see him as I was looking at the back of the exo where he normally sleeps. He's spent the last two nights there now so seems happy with the extra branches.

I've been watching him very closely and he's still very active at night and eating well.

Just a quick update. My sikorae went into shed again this evening so I kept a very close eye on him.

I'm very pleased to say he has had a good shed this time and the few areas with retained shed are now clear
