Unfortunately, your story isn't all that uncommon. Here's to the surviving members of your group and let us know if we can assist with anything.

Cheers!

The gender mix up...that is fairly common...one guy I deal with mixes something up every time we make a transaction...but he always makes good in the end.
See if you can make a deal with this person now and maybe you can get 2 for the price of 1 next time...or some kind of deal...if not, dont deal with them.

Just out of curiousity, what company did you deal with and where are they from?
I'd like to hear where they came from too, just for personal knowledge.

I think it would be good practice in the future to get good pictures of any Uros you buy beforehand, then you can look for pattern and bulges too. If you do, it should be pretty hard to get a mis-sexed Sikorae.

The other 2 geckos are doing well still. Probably monday will be the first round of fecals sent in.
I thank everyone for your input as well.

Sorry you had to go through that. Jason Perillo did the same to me. Hope you get your money back. There are a lot of scum bags out there right now. It's just sad that people don't take the lives' of the animals seriously.

Yeah, I feel ya on that gekkoterra...You are definitely taking a crap shot when you are paying an extremely LOW amount, but on the other hand, if the buyer is paying a premium price, your animals should be %100 ready to go. I dont know...I know I am the minority here, but when it comes to Uroplatus...the high prices bother me more than the low quality...to an extent...Now that being said, the animal in this discussion should have NEVER been shipped. These animals are fairly resilient, with the exception of being too DRY, they can go weeks without food and still be good.

You are definitely right. I felt pretty guilty last night for the death when I knew I really did nothing directly but gave it the best chance possible. Supporting this vendor was enough to feel the guilt.
That gecko was about to die, either at the dealer's place, at yours or somebody else's who might have bought her. The upsetting thing is that he sent you that gecko which must have obviously been at death's door. None of what happened is your fault at all. Unless you could tell the future, you didn't know that the vendor was so poor. Try to enjoy the geckos who are healthy, and don't buy from him again.

The seller has offered a resolution to make things right. May be not what I wanted but is going in the right direction as in trying to satisfy me.
