Pattern (to some extent), SVL and TL, throat colour, ridge in scalation over the top of the head, and a few others that I can't rememeber off the top of my head.

Luis has something on his site, but its writen about the U. sp. nov. aff. ebenanui but does talk about differences.

Uroplatus sp. nov. aff. ebenaui

I am only assuming that the U. ebenaui in his article here is the same as the U. aff. ebenaui... Still not to sure on the ebenaui group in general. So please correct me if I am wrong

U. ebenaui is much smaller than what Europeans call aff. ebenaui. They are two completely separate animals. U. ebenaui also has a tail that much resembles the sp. nov. aff. unlike the aff. ebenaui.
