Default My Uroplatus phantasticus (first post)

Hello Everyone!
I'm a long-time lurker and thought it was about time I posted on this wonderful website! I just got my first pair of Uroplatus phantasticus last Friday. I drove 13 hours round trip so they wouldn't have to go through the stress of shipping. I've kept Uroplatus ebenaui for a little while now and immediately got hooked on this genus! I will attach a few photos! The second night I had them in my care the male had still not moved from the branch I put him on. I was a bit concerned but as soon as I put crickets in the enclosure he came to life! He ate five crickets right in front of me, even with the lights on! Here is a short video clip: .
Best wishes,
Mike

If they are fresh imports, you might not want to feed them so much at once. The size of the crickets are good, but fresh imports need time for their stomachs to stretch. Only a couple crickets a night...even if they are still hungry. This is if the are fresh off the boat of course.

Glad to hear!
Yeah these guys are not fresh imports. They came in with my big shipment from Jason about 6 months ago.
