Default My uroplatus + cage design

Hello,

Some pictures of the cage design for my 2 uroplatus. Recently upgraded their habitate to a 36 x 18 x 36 exo terra extra tall. Thanks to my uncle for all the help and design process.

That's an awesome setup! I've seen those 36x18x36 and they are huge! But the only thing really worth putting in there are the largest of geckos such as your uros!

Should you be housing the frog and gecko together? You might want to reconsider that choice. Very organized looking build though. I might throw in some more cork bark tubes and/or thick branches for them to climb/hide on to finish it up.

Looks good so far! I would put in alot more branches though. The empty space doesn't benefit the gecko, so its basicly wasted. The more surface area you can create the better.

I agree with Jan. Also, for fimbriatus I look for branches or as big as my upper arm. Of course, it all depends on how big your arms are , but LOTS more vertical branches would be good. I also try to interweave mine so that the animal I'm keeping as well as prey items can move between them without jumping. I achieve this by putting a few in vertically, then leaning another one between the two and sometimes screwing them to each other. I'd hate for one to fall and crush a gecko...
