Default Dead Satanic Pair

So on friday I came home and the male satanic I found at a local pet store was dead, this was slightly over a month of me having it and when I bought it it was in rough shape so I took my chances. But today I came home and a female satanic which I got from a different store and in very good shape has been eating for me for a few months and very active but came home today and it was dead. Good weight and everything, mouth was open and looked like white around its anus. It was hot here last month so Ive had them down in the basement where my thermometer is reading 75 day and 65 night. I was using ficus plants and cork bark. Also misted heavy every night. What have I maybe done wrong to cause this as I just lost a whole pair in a few days. I had 2 more pairs on order which is scary as I don't want to cause more deaths. Advice would be great, thanks.
Ben

My guess is it got too hot before I moved them and it took a week after it happened for the consequences to catch up? Or the male was carrying parasites... but the female being very plump and otherwise healthy before dieing kinda rules that out for me, I dont think a parasite would kill her that fast if the male has been weak for so long.

but did the female seem to crash? because if she did not...I doubt anything that she 'could' have caught would have killed her as long as she was eating.
If she was eating...it could have been the heat/dryness...

Was he eating...and seeming to come around.

It takes these animals a long time to die...usually over a month...but if there was a drastic heat spike...in the 90s while the enclosure dried out...that could possibly do it.

he did seem like he was coming around, when I got him he had up to 3 layers of shed on him, I got it removed but when he shed again he wasnt able to remove it all. I mist very heavy in the evening and sometimes extra during the day when it was warmest. I had seen him eat now and then so it was looking promising. The female was eating indeed, ate alot. Now that I think about it I think they got caught upstairs in my gecko room for a heat wave before I realized it was too hot and moved them. They were in the basement for 2 weeks before they died so that could very well be it.

Hot weather can be a real pain in the ass. I always check the weathernews before i go to work and then setup the AC if necessary. It's a small investment compared to losing the animals i.m.o. I'm sorry to hear your animals have died. The white around the cloaca probably was stool.
