Default Uroplatus fimbriatus 1.1: New family members : )

finally! They're here!

a pair of U. Fimbriatus and their new home.

not sure why the pic of their cage wont stay rotated??? the 2 screen doors are on the bottom of the cage.

I don't know who these animals came from, but it's not the first time I've heard of large uros being shipped in bags. The rationale is that they're just too big for a deli cup and other hard containers provide too much extra room for them to bounce around in.

But yeah, hopefully there was some padding in there.

yeah, these guys are full grown both about 13 inches long...

they came from a couple who breed and sell snakes and they shipped them the same way, a very low profile box that was very padded and packed inside another box that was also padded.

The bags are like mini pillow cases and they were packed with news paper and Styrofoam.

The bags were actually fabric then? Nice gift bags ! Good to hear that they were well-padded!
