Default Pietschmanni Hatching Problems

Hello,
So last season my Pietschmanni group produced a total of 8 fertile eggs, 11 eggs total.
Some of the eggs are going on around 6 months. I just had one crack open the egg yesterday, and after a couple of hours I decided to help the little guy out. He was fully formed, but dead when I opened the egg.

I was wondering what you guys would do about the rest of the eggs that have been incubating this long (or longer). Should I open them up, or leave them alone?
There are a total of 3 eggs left that have been incubating for 6+ months.

Thanks,
-Armen

To put it short, I have NEVER heard anyone say, "yea, it was a good idea to crack that egg open," unless they planned on eating it for breakfast.

I just had a couple guentheri eggs take 130 days to hatch... most tell you 90 days tops on that species...

"Patience Grasshopper"

My rule on eggs... "if they ain't no mold... they ain't no need to remove"

Incubation isn't like its taking up your time, much space, hurting any one hehe

I agree with Mike and Silas. I have had finiavana hatch after >200 days incubation.
I would never help a gecko out of an egg. If they aren't strong enough to hatch on their own, there will be a reason and I don't think it is fair to keep them alive.

Hi!
The eggs are incubated U.pietschmanni very long time, all the eggs of this species, which I incubated, hatched in the range of 180-200 days at 22C (day) and 18C (night). In my opinion the temperature difference is a prerequisite for successful incubation. If incubation takes place at constant temperatures, the kids will be weak.
Need to be patient and wait, never open the eggs Uroplatus, nothing good will come of it.
Good luck, 8 eggs is a good result!
