U. sp. aff. ebenaui eggs
well, it's been a long time coming but I found these eggs from my favorite female U.sp. aff. ebenaui (the one in my avatar)
[IMG] [/IMG]
She had been looking quite rotund, and her behavior offered a couple clues that laying was near:
1. refusal to eat 2 days prior to laying
2. shedding the night before laying
She was not on her usual daytime hideout upon lights coming on yesterday, and after a thorough exploration of the enclosure, I found her deep in the leaf litter. She remained there all day, until lights out. She immediately left the eggs and began hunting as soon as the room darkened.
Here's another shot, this morning, before transferring eggs into their incubation vessel.

and lastly..... I thought I'd share a shot of her domain, a 12x12x18" zoomed.
[IMG] [/IMG]
To say I'm excited would be an understatement

I'm excited to see what that tiger male will produce. It's been a year since he's been in the country and I'm glad to finally see some eggs from him!!
Cheers,
Luis

Huge congratulations!
Should be some nice offspring.
On another note, I am also really digging that set up. Do you keep a pair in there?
Thanks,
-Armen

Hi Armen,
yes, I keep pairs in that size enclosure, and thanks for the compliment. I love to pimp their spaces out, lol.

Yeah, I was also impressed by your setup. That's a really nice looking viv. It looks complex enough for the geckos without being cluttered/confused/messy...

thanks Doug. I think the design principals are a combination of Japanese aesthetic minimalism and my aquarium passion, lol.
