U. sikorae posing
Caught this one posing for me while spot cleaning  . Just wanted to share. And oh, any opinions on sex given patterning? Vent looks female, but kinda young. A recently imported 3" specimen FYI

How about a shot from above? From what I can see of that animal it looks like one I saw at the last White Plains show. I KNEW it was a female, but when I looked at it's vent I knew different. While sikorae do seem to be mostly sexually dimorphic, there are always those animals that don't fit the norm.

I'd guess that one to be male actually. The streaking look going lengthwise down the body always seems to be males from what I've seen. I agree with Kevin though, there are definitely some that just don't fit sometimes.

Thanks Kyle, that was my dilemma.... patchy female/semi vertebral stripey male (?)

also... upon measuring, this animal is almost 4" (total length) and not much going on in the vent region. Oddly, the patchy/banded lichenous markings are becoming more pronounced with time.
