Thanks! I believe that I figured out how to make them stop and start breeding, without separating them. The method has worked for two seasons so far. If it works again, I will share the method.
I wish that someone else had the same variations in coloring that mine do. I need more bloodlines.

So far, 10 with 9 surviving. Two of them are at or near breeding age/size. They are pictured below.
