Every week, I remove all his hides/dishes/decor/etc and wash them with hot water only. I also clean up any poop, un-eaten food, and other waste/debris. Then I replace most of the eco earth in the corner where he poops, and I mix the EE up so it doesn't settle for too long. I change out the paper towels in his moist hide, and I give him new calcium in his dish.
Every month or so, I do all that, but I also wipe down the inside of his tank with vinegar/water solution then hot water, and I change 1/2 of the EE.
I need to find a reptile safe disinfectant, but hot water and vinegar/water helps some in the meantime. I don't necessarily think everything needs to be sanitized and disinfected constantly, but its also important to stay on top of cleaning, and I think hot water helps with keeping down the levels of some microbes.
