    Greetings friends!

After spending a few months reading and learning about different kinds of reptiles, I came to the decision that I would like to adopt a leopard gecko.

I have everything that I want to purchase picked out from the tank(36x18x12inches, I hope that's enough space) all the way down to the habitat decor. All I need to do now is start slowly acquiring it all and I will be ready to find a breeder to adopt from. It will probably take a month or two if I spread the shopping out evenly between paychecks. The terrarium is going to be the most costly bit.

That being said, I've been lurking here for a couple weeks and finally decided to take the leap and join the community because everybody here seems super friendly and helpful.

I'm really glad to be here and I'm REALLY looking forward to sharing photos as well as any fun stories.

I will probably occasionally bother you guys from time to time with questions as well, so sorry in advance if I ask anything that I should know already.
    You're a lizard, Harry.

Welcome to GU! A leopard gecko will really enjoy an enclosure of that size. Read care sheets! There is an extensive one on this forum by Elizabeth Freer. Enjoy the preparation and the search for a gecko.

Thank you so much for the warm welcome! That care sheet is the best and one of the many resources that attracted me to this forum.

There were a ton of really out of date care sheets floating around on Google so having one that is so current and well maintained is great.

It's been like the longest Xmas eve ever as I prepare hehe. The anticipation!

Hurray! Yar, since awesome forums like this take time to moderate/hosting fees etc, I always like to support when I can. This place has such a wealth of information that I would be quite remiss if I didn't contribute a little something to help.
