    Default Scout's Progress Thread!

LOG IN TO CLOSE THIS AD

So, bit of a back story... I got him on 9/29/18 from Petsmart. Like most know, it's not the best place to get pets, but I couldn't help it. They all looked so tiny and thin. Granted, they were very young, but there were 4 trying to hide under one tiny hide, so I had to take one home. I had already bought all the stuff the day before, but I wasn't sure where I would get my gecko from.

I wanted to keep a thread to update his progress as he goes. He already has progressed a lot from where he was. I actually went back to Petsmart to get him some more food and they still had the geckos from when I bought mine. They look like they didn't gain any weight at all. I could tell they were the same ones also as the color patterns were the same. I feel sad for them, but Scout is doing great, so I can live with at least saving one.

I'll start with the first day I got him and then update it every once in awhile.

    9/29/18 - First day!

He was so tiny and didn't weigh much. Only 10 grams

10/7/18 - Second week and weigh in #2

A bit of progress in weight and he was ready to start shedding soon.

This one is a few days after the picture above. A happy lil guy

    10/15/18 - 3rd week and weigh in #3

A comparison from day 1 to day 17. So happy that he is gaining weight and looking more healthy!

He is starting to lose his stripes a bit also

    10/21/18 - 4th week and weigh in #4

So happy for him! He is definitely looking much healthier.

I feel like his tail is getting a bit more orange with each shed also.

I have missed a couple weeks, but I do have a bit of progress!

    His 11/4/18 weigh in

    His 11/14/18 weigh in

And a pic of him in my hand to show some comparison!

And again I went to Petsmart to see if they still had the ones that were in his tank when I bought him. A couple were and they have not gained much weight/size. I'm glad he is doing great, but I am still sad for his former tank mates.

I will keep updating this thread as he progresses and I hope a few people enjoy something like this.
