    Default Twilight Intro

Introduction of the first Leo to our home. I had Monitors and Tokay Geckos when in was a kid, but always ended having to get rid of them when got too big or expensive as parents weren't fond of them. Very excited to have reptiles again.

My daughter asked for one a few years ago and felt was too little to take care of it. I let her get a fish instead to start and see how it went. It passed unfortunately after about a year as it seems most big box ones do. I waited a year to see if she would keep asking for a Leo, and to my surprise she did. I got her one for her 9 year old birthday about 3 weeks ago and going great. She spot cleans cage, changes water, helps prepare and dust insects and has been handling him for about 10 minutes each night for last 2 weeks.

Got from a local breeder and he didn't seem real knowledgeable, but was only one in driving distance. Said was a Mack Snow and 3-4 weeks old. That would put him around 7-8 weeks at this point. His name is Twilight and is doing great. Wonderful eater, had to guy buy some large mealies as he would eat 20 of the mini/small like it was nothing.

Here is a few pics of him and setup for now. Once gets a little older, will move to a 20g tank and tile.

Looking forward to watching him grow and maybe getting one for me and son down the road. He is already begging.

Congratulations! It sounds like you have taught your daughter well, and that she - and your son - will be good, responsible reptile owners. Enjoy Twilight! He will be an awesome pet for you!
