I have upgraded Lollipops home. She now has a 20 gallon, with heating pad and 3 hides. Problem is she won't come out of her hide, nor would she eat tonight. I suppose she is stressed with the new roomier home. Its so sad to see her miserable, How long can she go without eating until it becomes a problem? This is her second night to hide out. Yaya

HOORAY!!!! So you upgraded Lollipop's home to a 30 inch tank? Only ask because there are 20 gallon regular tanks that are shorter and taller than a 30 inch long 20 gallon LONG
.
Leos are crepuscular and often hide till the lights go out.
She's probably stressed from the upgrade.
How about sharing pictures so we can check her out...body weight and all?Click right here:

30 inches long
yes she has a 30 inch long unit. she came out tonight an walked around still not eating. offered crickets, not her favorite, did not touch them, and even tried a couple of small mealworms and she would not touch them or has not so far. She has gone back into her favorite hide. will try to get some pictures, but I would have to shake her out of her hide, and don't want to stress her. And truthfully not even sure I would know how to begin to post the pictures. I was given some instructions earlier, and will try and locate the post. She did get a little water, and I misted her just in case. Could she be getting ready to shed also. She has never not ate something. She is not acting like she is hurting, as she did explore some tonight. Thanks.. yaya

oops
I double checked it measures 30 inches long, but the tiles will have to be cut a bit to fit. They are 4X4 . So maybe I purchase the wrong thing. I have the heater installed, watching the temp and will get a temp gun this next week. One thing I have noticed is the glass temp under the heater ( her home sits on a glass top table, with the little legs under it to keep the unit off the cord) any way it is not as warm tonight as it was last night. I will keep a eye on it. Wish I had saved the receipt, oh I got it at petco, they can pull it up from my card, if it fails the heat back up I will have to replace it. It was toasty warm and now its is only luke warm. I have been working so hard to get her home just right. I also bought ceramic tiles. Do these need sealing. Thanks ..Yaya

Thanks for confirming the 30 inch length. Is her favorite hide the warm moist hide?
Leos don't require misting and may find misting stressful.
Tiles also come in 6 x 6s and 12 x 12s. Use the ceramic tiles as they come. They require no extra sealing.
How's that heat mat doing? Is it about 1/3 the tank's length and nearly as wide?
You are doing a great job. All this is new for you. Guess what? You are almost "there"

Heater and Hide
The heater seems to be doing better, maybe it was just not plugged in completely and I did wiggle the connection. She is hiding in the moist hide, but its not the warmest spot. She has not seemed to interested in the new heating pad. Last night I went ahead and took her out of her favorite hide, (she did not want to come out) and noticed she had been shedding. This is the first time I have actually found skin left on her. Could she not be eating because she ate all that skin. It's never stopped her before. Her weight appears the same, her tail is fat. Her eyes clear. Nothing running from her nose. Cool to touch. Wish I could post a picture. I will try my best to work on that this weekend.
Also, my husband saw my post and told me he has his heat gun at work. I did not know he even had a heat gun. So that solves one problem. He will bring it home tonight. Things look great in the new home. Will be glad when she decides she likes it. Her moist hide is a plastic tub for now but would like something better later, But since she is liking the tub, maybe I wont be in too big a hurry to change that. perhaps I can create something else with a plastic container that fits the decor. I'm sure she does not mind it say country crock on the tub but I do. lol So anyway it is on the cool side. You are saying I need a warm moist also. um that I did not have. guess I can put paper towels in the cave. Thanks for the help. Will let you know if she eats tonight. Sure hope so.. later.. yaya

She ate!
not much but she is eating again, and moving about. She ate 3 mealworms. not all that great for her but she did eat something. Will try her crickets tonight. Hopefully she will not refuse them. She's not much of a hunter, so I have to break the crickets legs, which btw I really don't like to do that to the crickets. Do you know if they feel pain. hope not, but I gotta do what I gotta do. Have a great weekend.. yaya
