    Hi all,

I recently rescued a male leopard gecko-Dom, he is around 9 years old. His tummy appears to be bloated. He was previously housed with no heat mat or thermostat just a red light for heat but was housed on reptile carpet never on sand. I have tried giving him baths and belly massages since Saturday however he still hasn't been for a poo. I am a bit worried that he may be impacted? Is there any thing else I can try? Could he be nervous because he is in a new setting? I have bought him a heat mat and a thermostat and a uvb bulb

    I've attached pictures of Dom

    Thanks

How long have you had him? Is he eating? I would recommend giving him a chance to settle in and see if he'll accept food. Sometimes it can take a few weeks before they poop and especially if he wasn't on sand, I think it's best to give him a little time with low stress and see if things happen naturally.

Since Saturday 15th April. He is showing some interest in food and so far he has had 1 locust (hand fed) I tried feeding him with forceps but he is continuously missing then he gives up and goes back in his hide
Okay thank you will give him a few weeks to settle in
