OK so my gecko normally poops once a day but he hasn't pooped in for 3 days, and I haven't really seen him come out of his hot hide for a good day or two, I fed him today and he ran all over the place when I put my hand in the tank, and it look like he will be shedding soon, idk if this normal please help, and whenever I go near the tank he runs into his hide

Please verify your ground temps under his hot hide. What are they?

Does he have fresh water 24/7?

I'd not worry yet. Sometimes things change. Be prepared for the big poop after he sheds.

When you approach his tank are you talking to him in a soft voice?

Did you cover 3 sides of his enclosure with brown paper?

The sound of your voice lets him know he has company, that he's no longer by himself.

Covering all sides of the enclosure except the front will give him added security. Many geckos tend to be skittish.
