So my male leopard gecko Lokie started acting really odd today I think something might be wrong I noticed when I was checking the egg I have incubating in my 20gl tank the him and my other gecko lizzy live in, Ive never had problems with him before hes has always been really gentle and timid but he was aggressively (rubbing) himself in between the rock hide and the glass but when he moved something fell from his belly, I gently picked him up to see if he had been hurt but out of nowhere he bit me which he has never even snapped at me before he continued this behaviour and also started pressing his face to the reptile mat that lines the tank and walking forward. Out of two years of having them out of the 7-8 hes been alive he has never done anything like that should I be worried.

It wasn’t skin he had a shed last week what ever came off of him was wet and fleshy and in a matter on an hour dried out kind of like an exposed wounds would.

I’m saying it came from his belly because He was rubbing his belly against the reptile mat

Male geckos sometimes have sperm plugs that come out of the vent area. They look white and squishy but quickly dry out. Is this male the parent of the egg in the incubator? Have you handled him after handling the female but not washed your hands? Did he mate recently? It sounds as if he may smell the female (and may also smell her on your hands) and is looking for more "action".

Plugs do not dry out like water. This is what they look like.
