    Question Sick? Clear liqued poop/pee

LOG IN TO CLOSE THIS AD

    Hello there!
My sister was handling her gecko, Lily, and lily pooped/peed clear liquid all over her hand. My sister also noticed a wet spot in the Lily's tank where she usually poops. Weird thing is that she has pooped normally after both instances. And its not a small amount of fluid either. I will post some photos of the spot in her tank.
    Thanks for any advice!

    Lily is a female
Her tank is kept at 81-82 degrees
She has a warm side and cool side
    Three hides, cold, warm, moist
She has always been on reptile carpetimage.jpgimage.jpg
Her diet consists of meal worms and cricket
Food is dusted with calcium and Vitamin D3
We do not know her exact age, she less than a year

Even though most urates are solid white, there is often clear liquid with the "output". It's fine.

They can in fact poop out excess liquid ( instead of crystallized urate) if they drink too much. I’d be slightly more concerned that he’s eating that amount and has not had a real poop yet. I’d lay off feeding him until he passes actual stool and see how that looks.

You mentioned a warm and cool side? Something if causing her to consume a lot of water. Could be temp or supplement related.

Leos excrete feces, urates, and urine.

    1. How often are you dusting her crickets and mealworms?
    2. With which supplements?
    3. Brand name of your calcium + D3?
    4. Do you have a multivitamin too?
    5. Have you a temp measurement right on top of the substrate underneath the warm dry hide?
