Exclamation Leo hatchling born without tail

LOG IN TO CLOSE THIS AD

    Hey guys,

I have a day old hatchling that came out of the egg with no tail. It did not drop its tail as it is not in the incubation tub and the area is completely smooth down there, suggesting that one will not grow in.

Other than having no tail she seems healthy (alert, walking fine, drinking) This is deeply concerning for me as I can find no information online as to wether a Leo can survive with a permanently missing tail.

Does anyone have any information on this?

    Thanks

If I was you, I would include a picture. That way the experts and breeders here could give you a more educated opinion on what is going on. I unfortunately, would not be much help to you in this. I have never heard of this issue before.

I think you should feed it when it's ready and see what happens. It may never get a tail, and you may be surprised. It's worth a try.
