Exclamation Leopard Gecko has sore mouth

Hello! This is a post about my gecko Bambi. He is an enigma, I didn’t know this when I got him but he is a very mild case and is just over 2 years old. He has trouble shedding, so I always help him shed. I never had any issues until a few days ago. He looked ready to shed so I went ahead and helped him shed, but I did it too soon. It was a huge mistake and I feel horrible and you guys can criticize me all you want. He was sore I think for a while, and forgot he had to drink. So he was extremely dehydrated and I’m still having to manually give him water. He is now noticeably skinner and his mouth is definitely not okay. To me it doesn’t look like mouth rot but I’m not sure. I’m going to include some pictures. I’m sure he needs to go to the vet but I want some input on what could be wrong with is mouth. image.jpg
Edit: picture didn’t post correctly and idk how i even attached that picture bc I cant figure out how
to attach the right one. on the other side of his mouth his lip is almost pursed up, his gums are revealed and you can see his teeth on the top lip.

It certainly wouldn't hurt to take him to the vet. I have also had success cleaning the affected area gently with a q-tip and some hydrogen peroxide.
