    Default Leopard gecko shaking legs

LOG IN TO CLOSE THIS AD

Hello, so yesterday I was feeding my gecko ( he is 6 months) and as he walked out of his hide I noticed he was shaking his legs as if he was flicking a bug off them, but there were no bugs there. Iíve never seen him do this before but Iíve read other posts and people suggest it may be early signs of MBD which worries me. He is eating and pooping fine and heís just about to shed so I didnít get him out to check his walking but I havenít noticed anything odd recently.

I have calcium without D3 in the tank at all times and I have the shadedweller T5 Pro on from 8:30am- 6:30pm. I also recently bought the new D3 Arcadia supplement to give every 8th feed. I also dust with earthpro A. He has a DHP set to 32 on the hot side and various rocks of different colours which range from 29-32 so he can bask under the DHP at different temperatures.

Iíve never seem his do this before. I wondered what are the early signs of MBD? He still holds himself high when he walks which leads me to believe his bones are okay but Iím just worried!
The pictures are all recent, i tried to attach a video of his walking but I canít seem to do that but I hope those photos show everything needed!

The early signs of MBD are bowed legs and a soft jaw that makes it difficult to chew. If anything, you may be over supplementing (I'm not saying the the legs are shaking because of this, but it's a lot of calcium and D3). I don't keep calcium in my geckos' enclosures anymore and they've been fine without it since 2009. Sometimes they shake their legs because they feel like whatever they're walking on feels funny.

Nothing wrong with worrying about a new pet! While my numbers are going down, the amount I'm dealing with I find I worry less.
