    Question Not seeing his food?

I have a leopard gecko that my dad has had for a while. I recently took over caring for him when our Beardie got sick. I had noticed a while ago that he doesn't seem to be able to see his food. When I would feed him before, he would stalk his prey, but still missed catching it. Now, even when I am holding it in front of him, he doesn't seem to notice it. If anyone could help, that would be great. I can't afford to take him to the vet for another couple weeks.
