    Question Male gecko clogged vent??

What is going on with my Ollie's vent? (UPDATED: I meant pores) I've never noticed this before. He doesn't seem to be licking at it or bothered by it or anything but should I be concerned? It is hard and crusty feeling. I did a 10 minute soak but it doesn't seem to really budge.

It's just the dried out stuff that comes out anyway. You could try pulling some of it out; I do that occasionally for some of my males. However, with one of them it actually caused a wound in the area (I don't think this is very common) that took awhile to heal so I'm very careful about trying that anymore. I may brush my finger across the stuff to see if I can loosen it, but I don't do a major cleanout anymore.

So should I continue with the daily soaks and rubbing the area to try and loosen it or is it ok as it is? I guess what I'm asking is, is it harmful to him to leave it the way it is now. He has had two 15 minute long soaks in luke warm water and I've been massaging the area, as well as put a dab of olive oil on it and it is still exactly the same.

No it's not harmful. You can leave it the way it is, or you could try pulling one piece off with tweezers but it's not necessary.
