Welcome to Geckos Unlimited!
Your best resource is a vet. Have you contacted the vet who recommended Tamodine with the information that you just shared here?Click: Leopard Gecko Care Sheet's Table of Contents

Hi Elizabeth
Thanks, yes we are going to see him tomorrow, but the trouble is we don't have a reptile specialist near us and the vet had to Google fungal infection just to double check the treatment he was prescribing, so it's unlikely he'll be able to offer much advice so I just wondered if anybody has had a similar experience and whether they could offer any help/reassurance. She has eaten 2 wax worms this morning which is the first she's eaten in 2 weeks which I'm hoping is a good sign but she's still moving about very slowly.

Have you reached out to an exotics vet specialist yet? An exotics specialist could reach out to your vet even if you can't visit him. Here's the link.
I live in a very small town. In the past I've traveled 3 hours inland to visit an exotics specialist with a gecko. I don't have any experience with fungal infections.
Keep fresh water available ALWAYS.
MIST only a small section of her enclosure, UNLESS she lives in a 10 gallon.
Have you tried mini-hornworms? Sometime the local Petco or Petsmart carries hornworms in a 4-pack.

Geckos Unlimited is way too quiet these days. Perhaps you'll luck out. I hope so.Last edited by Elizabeth Freer; 11-27-2021 at 05:39 PM.

Thanks for taking the time to reply Emma
My daughter is trying to get her to drink from a syringe at the moment. We may have to try food from a syringe too - we will see how she goes over the next few days. Unfortunately living in the UK we cannot get hornworms so will persevere with the waxworms and hope that she'll start accepting mealworms again if her appetite starts to pick up (we dust with calcium and d3). Travelling any distance is difficult as I don't drive so have to stay with the vets in our closest town - the buses are once every 1.5 hours from our village to town and going any further is sadly not practical, but that's a good point about having contact with an exotics specialist via our vet - I'll talk to him about that tomorrow....Post Thanks / Like - 0 Thanks, 1 LikesElizabeth Freer liked this post

Which brand of calcium + D3 are you using? Is that also a multivitamin? How frequently had you been dusting her prey?
