Leopard gecko jaw/neck/face issues?
LOG IN TO CLOSE THIS AD
We took her to the vet for it, and he said it could be an infection, fat deposit, tumor, or something like that. We decided to take her back home without getting it tested because it didn't seem to be affecting her any and hell, what would we do except for surgery if it were a tumor?
About a week and a half later it's not going away. There seems to be a brown dried mucus near her mouth. Not much of it, but enough. Her jaw strength seems terrible. Her left eye seems slightly sunken in.
She seems interested in food, still eating, and not too lethargic. Vet said she was at a good weight, 76 grams.
What could be wrong? Is there anything I can do?

Maybe it's time to get it tested. I agree it didn't make sense to get it tested if it wasn't affecting her and hadn't changed but based on your description it seems that now it is. It could be an infection that needs to be lanced and the pus squeezed out followed by oral antibiotics. I think it's a good reason to see the vet again and luckily, she seems to be in good health otherwise which makes it easier to tolerate a procedure.

I agree with Aliza, 6duckie6.

Thank you both for your replies. Storm will be returning to the vet tomorrow.
In the meantime she seems to be eating and moving about well, and the fatty lump has not been getting any bigger, but a crusty white patch has developed on her nose. It is not stuck shed.

Any update? My baby has this lump too; it seems like it came overnight. She has had it for one day and my vet is not in until Tuesday

Have you some feedback on Storm's lump & crusty nose skin? What did her vet say?Click: Leopard Gecko Care Sheet's Table of Contents
