I have surgery coming up in a bit over 2 weeks and I won't be able to drive for several weeks.
How long after you get your Leopard Geckos do you take them in for a wellness check with a vet?
I would prefer to give him more time to get accustomed to me before I pop him in a travel carrier and take him to a vet.Post Thanks / Like - 1 Thanks, 0 LikesElizabeth Freer thanked for this post

It's highly recommended to keep leopard geckos in a simple setup (paper towels & such) for 3 months prior to having their wellness check.

I never took mine to get a wellness checkup. I will only take them to a vet if I fear there's something wrong with them, and that's not very likely.
Hi, I'm Kate and I love animals. I'm the proud owner of Stacy, the 11 year old dog, Azymondias (Zym), the 1 year old leopard gecko, and Moonlily (Moon), the 9 month old leopard gecko. Right now those are my only pets, but later on in the year I will be expanding my menagerie lol.Post Thanks / Like - 0 Thanks, 1 LikesMicheleVicchitto liked this post

I'm actually very lucky vet-wise, because there is an exotic pet vet around 20 minutes away.
So, 3 months prior to wellness check? That actually works out pretty good. I should be able to drive again by then.Post Thanks / Like - 0 Thanks, 1 LikesElizabeth Freer liked this post
