Default Lack of humidity causing shed problems??

I'm having a bit of trouble keeping the humidity high enough in my younger leopard gecko's tank. I don't keep their humidity hides in all the time, only when they are about to shed. My 7month old male has no trouble shedding at all. It always comes off in one piece with none stuck anywhere, but my 2month old female is exactly the opposite. I've tried a regular hide with damp paper towel, spraying parts of the tank down with warm water, and putting a water dish on the hot side, but she ALWAYS gets stuck. I must be doing something wrong, but don't know what. Please help!

Many people do not have humid hides in all the time but all my Leo’s have access to them at all times and they all have perfect sheds. I would recommend keeping it in the tank at all times. It might help.

I agree with the above post. Leave the humid hide in the enclosure 24/7. That should help.

Thanks! I will definitely try that. By the way, she has a tiny little piece of shed still on her eyelid, but she won't let me get it off. The first time I tried she screamed, so I stopped and just left it. Any tips on how to get it off without stressing her so much?

Is the piece covering her eye or just a bit on the eye lid?
Chances are if it's just a bit on the eye lid and isn't causing any sight obstruction, it'll be fine if left alone to come off during the next shed instead of causing her stress.
However if it's in the eye, it's best to help her remove it asap.

It's just a little tiny piece on the eye lid, so i'll leave it. It doesn't seem to be bothering her, so it should be fine.
