    Default Help with tank setup

    Hello!

New leo owner here! So, I just upgraded to a 30x12 tank, think it's 20g long, per the help of you lovely people! I had a 10g and it just was getting SO HOT I was worried he was going to fry. So, I just need help with new setup. I have a 60w CHE and a clamp lamp. I am being recommended a 11x17 UTH. I have repticarpet as my substrate. I have a thermostat for the CHE and a separate one for the UTH. So, how do y'all recommend I set this up? Just want to make sure I have all the necessary components. I have an extra lamp without a bulb but I was told bright light can stress my leo out. His tank is by a window so he gets natural UV and has a regulated day/night schedule.

With all I have, what should the setup be? All recommendations welcome, if you think I need anything else, please mention that as well. I'm just mentioning the technical stuff, I have plenty of hides and vitamins and thermometers and whatnot, I'm just asking more about technical setup and temps and stuff like that!

    Thank you all!

do you have an outlet near the tank? if so plug the two thermostats in to seprate outlets, and plug the CHE and the heat mat into the seprate thermostats.

Will your 20 long receive direct sun? If so there's a possibility sun could overheat the enclosure. Any UV is filtered out by the window and the enclosure's glass.

Click this link for a setup video and more info. Once you see this and check out the post, ask away.
