Alright so I am currently using a 10% uvb light (compact blub) for my 8 month old leopard gecko. It is a 15 gallon tank with enough materials for the gecko to hide, climb, and explore. The uvb is 10% and its above a fine mesh cover, how high should I place the uvb light (from the top of the cage)? I wish to hear some suggestions :D

For the geckos where I use UVB, I just lay the light on top of the mesh. It's unclear to what extent your gecko will benefit --it depends on whether it spends any daytime outside of the hides.

10% is a lot, I would advise using less. And don't use regular vitamin powder, get something without the D3.
