    Default New gecko, new skin

Hello everyone! I've posted on the forums before in my thread titled "Preparing for first leo" and now it's already been a few weeks since I've had my leo. She seems to be very healthy and happy, and she's eating and pooping well. This is my first pet lizard and I'm so impressed with how she has her designated pooping spot, it makes cleaning so easy!

Yesterday and today I noticed my little girl appeared to be in the process of shedding. When I got home from work a few hours ago, she was really white, like she got dipped in flour. But now only a few hours later she seemed to have had a great shed while I wasn't looking. I don't see any stuck shed, but I did try and take some photos so more knowledgeable could check.

I gave her a warm water soak for a few moments. Hopefully all is well. Anyway, I'm glad to be here, and I'm looking forward to learning even more about our wonderful pets!

Hi, Looks like her shedding went well Did your gecko arrive from the breeder with the armpit bubbles or did she develop them after?

I can't see any stuck shed either.
You've got a gorgeous female! I love the stripe that follows her spine.

Thanks, yeah, I was worried because I've never had a pet lizard and I wanted to make sure she didn't lose any toes. I'm glad it went well. And I think she had some small bubbles when she arrived, but over last month or so they've gone away. I feed her every other day, and use multivitamins one day, calcium with D3 the next, and plain calcium the next. Bubbles are caused by overdosing on calcium, right?

Sorry it took so long to reply, haven't been on the site in a while!

Yay! I'm so glad, I was a concerned parent when I realized she was about to shed. And thank you. I love her colors and patterns too. The breeder I got her from had dozens and dozens of geckos to pick from, but she really stood out for me. She seems to be settling in well, too. I love coming home from work to see what she'll be up to on any given day!
