Oh and I forgot to ask, does anyone else change the number of hours a light is on during the winter and summer? I read somewhere that in the winter leos need 12hrs of sun and in the summer they need 14hrs ??? Is this correct and would you do UVB like this ?

I’m not confident enough to answer the changing of the times, however I can recommend you a pretty good timer. The time itself isn’t as accurate (as in you cant set it to go off at 8:12 or something). The zoomed timer! I’ve used both the dual plug and the 8 plug versions and since I don’t keep Night lights anymore, the extended one works quite well. It’s quite simple to work too.

I have a timer on mine ! Its a regular indoor/outdoor timer but its never missed a beat! My is set to turn on at 7:30 and turn off at 8:00 . I've been increasing his light time by 10 mins every week to give him more light . But I'm not sure if he even needs it increased . So many people say things different for leos , its so confusing to know whats right or wrong

His tank is Exo Terra's 24" by 18" by 18"
It's quite difficult to create a decent light gradient within a 24 inch long Exo Terra in order to use UVB. Can you upgrade to a 36 x 18 a 12 inch high enclosure? If not, continue with a powdered D3 supplement and a powdered multivitamin supplement. Don't use vitamin D3 in both supplements.

Some leo keepers may vary daylight hours according to this link, but adjusted to your local time.

It just depends upon the size of the bugs.

Some keepers suggest all the gecko will eat in ~ 15 minutes.
