    Default Cracked glass on bottom

So my ultratherms just got in and I installed them (already working quite nicely) but right after I put one in, I heard a pop and I went to check on where I heard the pop and I saw that a nice sized crack had appeared on the bottom pane of glass. Now, I doubt it was the ultratherm since said ultratherm had been plugged in for a grand total of ten minutes and it was probably because I accidentally positioned the tank so it wasnít level, so Iím not trying to figure out where it came from, but my question is this:

Is it okay to keep my leo in the tank?

He has a reptile carpet and you canít even feel the crack when running your fingers along it on the inside of the tank, so I donít think thereís any danger of him cutting himself, but I am worried that thereís a potential problem Iím not thinking of. I donít want to spend the money to buy a brand new tank if I donít need to, but I will if need be.

There should be no problem with the leo in the enclosure. The real question is why the glass cracked. Not having the enclosure level shouldn't have done it. It could have happened if the bottom of the tank was wet. It takes most heat mats hours to get to full strength, so if nothing was wet, there was either a problem with the glass in the enclosure or a defective heat mat. Somehow, you're going to have to problem solve so it doesn't happen again. If you are able to remount the heat mat, you may want to consider putting it in a non-cracked area. If you left the heat mat where the crack is, please be sure the crack doesn't extend. Hopefully you are using this with a thermostat.
