Odin is a 4 year old male LG. I got him at 3 years old from a breeder that barely touched him. He somewhat use to the household and me now but after a few minutes Of having him out of his cage he tries to run from me.

I canít tell if he just trying to explore or he just hates to be touched but I ty to keep him on me as much as possible so he doesnít get lost in the cracks of the couch or on the floor. We barely get ten mins in before heís clicking and grunting to get back to his cage.

Anyone else gecko constantly tried to get away when you take them out ??

I have at least one that I don't even try to take out. I've had him since he was a young adult and he hates to be held, so we just don't.

Most of my leos are really good with handling, but, like acpart, I have one who does not tolerate it.

I would suppose like people, you'll get the occaisonal one that just enjoys being on their own more. Perhaps with time and gradual (very gradual) acclimatization that could change. But not always.
