Default New leopard gecko, odd defensive behaviour when no one is there

    Hi all

I have a leopard gecko which I have had for about a month now. Hes 4 months old in total and and is still skittish and doesn't tolerate being handled much yet.

In his tank he has a infra red camera and ive picked up quite a few times in the middle of the night when no one is around, all is quiet he wanders around waving his tail in what seems like a defensive posture.

Again no one is even there... he didn't have any bugs in his tank the last time I looked.

Hes eating very well (and acts like hes never been fed before) and will happily chase crickets around his tank when I am around.

I am worried hes stressed about something. My attempts at handing him perhaps? I did lift his hide today to see if he would walk onto my hand.

I plan on just leaving him alone for a few weeks and only lift his hides to check on him after a shed (for any that's stuck).

    Here is an example

I wonder if he's seeing his reflection in the glass. . .

I watched the video. He didn't look too stressed to me. I believe when a gecko is stressed the tail is usually more raised. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_c...&v=h1KDv5UcqBE

I agree with Marillion, he looks like he's walking pretty usually.
