Brumation?

My question is that should I brumate my two adults for this upcoming breeding season? my male is 3 years old, and my female is 2 years old. Both are in fine condition, however my male could probably stand to gain a couple grams, and my female could loose some. I have never brumated them before, or any other leopard gecko for that matter. Is brumation essential for breeding? do I not have to worry about it and just keep things per usual? I plan to breed them next season.
I would love to hear your input! <3

I bred leopard geckos for 13 years and never brumated them. Some of them did go to the cold side of the cage and brumate themselves! Keep offering food and don't worry if they don't eat as much. I would put my males and females together mid-January and would usually get the first eggs by mid-February.
