Default Temp/Humidy Monitoring Idea and Questions

    Hi all... newbie here.

I currently have a Eco Terra Medium/Low (24x18x12). Setup with UTH (Zoomed heat mat), hooked up to an iPower thermostat. 4 total hides (1 hot side, 1 cool side, 1 humid (middle), and another in the middle. Substrate is true stone (non-glazed) mosiac tiles that manage to fit perfectly to the dimensions. I of course have the thermometer from the thermostat, but I also have 2 crappy store bought analog thermometer/hygrometers on each side of the tank, which I planned to replace with a cool idea.

I plan on creating my own DIY foam/grout/seal background and structures to create cooler hides and crawl-ey areas in my tank for my new leo. My plan is to create something like the image below. There would be 5 main compartments (2 caves on the right on the warm side - they are connected by tunnel), (2 caves on the left on the cool side - connected by tunnel), (1 cave in the back middle with a container insert for the humid side). There will also be a background with a couple ledges to crawl on.

Now here is where it gets interesting.. I want to incorporate temp/humidity monitoring built in to the structure. I will carve out holes for some inkbird bluetooth thermometer/hygrometers, so they won't even be in sight. I will have them connected to the inkbird gateway, so that I can view all my stats from anywhere. The question I have for everyone is monitor placement. The current crappy gauges are just on the tile (as is the thermostat, even though it is in the hot hide). My initial guess is to have the monitors built into the cool hide cave and the hot hide cave. Do you believe there should be a monitor placed "above ground" at all? Should I place one in the humid hide?

Any recommendations on monitoring placement would be highly appreciated!!!

I don't, unfortunatly, have any specific ideas but it sounds really interesting!
