That's crazy he doesn't eat meal worms!! I swear if I was a gecko I would eat them they look damn delicious! I read that geckos can become picky eaters so I insisted on feeding mine since a baby a variety of foods in order for this to not occur. I actually started with meal worms and his first feeding he ate about 11 of those suckers when he was tiny! Then I moved on to crickets and boy does he munch them especially because of the tail wiggle which is definitely very entertaining, but he doesn't do that for the meal worms.. strange. Anyways after about a week of mixing it up between meal worms and crickets I made a trip to a local reptile store that carried Dubai Roaches so I went ahead and bought those and he eats those too! Now his meal consists of about 2-3 dubai roaches and 6-8 meal worms. He/She is a tank!! Is there anyway to tell the sex of my gecko by how much it eats? Cause its obvious that men generally eat more than women and my baby is growing quickly!! I can already see the normal patterns coming out & I'm am so excited cause I love that coloring!

If I were you I wouldn't feed him crickets for a day or two and then feed him meal worms.. If he is hungry he will eat!! Not like they have any other choice as they can't hunt themselves haha. Anyways in the beginning handling meal worms were trippy for me not gonna lie and after a day or two you get used to it because they don't bite they only feel weird when you hold them. But if you can't and refuse to try and get used to it which isnt hard, then a good choice would be to buy those tongs from the pet-store so you can pick them up without scarying you & they will still wiggle which gets their attention quickly! So goodluck let us know how it goes!

Sure, they can grow faster on mealworms, but also die sooner too. Since you find they look so delicious, maybe you should sign up for Fear Factor; I am sure you will do well No, you cannot sex according to how much they eat. If he or she is over six months, just look at the vent area. Just incase you don't know what to look for, here is a picture.
Sexing Leopard Geckos. How to determine a leopard geckos sex. Do I have a male or female leopard gecko?

My Leo's don't care for meal worms, I tried offering them to Zeus but he just turned his nose up at them and walked away. I just stick to dubias, hoppers, Mario worms and the odd wax worm. Getting silkworms soon so we shall see if they like them.

Although I agree that crickets are far better for your gecko I do occasionally feed mine mealworms and phoenix worms just to vary up my guys diet. At first he would completly ignore the worms but I was persistant. I got a small container full of worms and put 2 crickets with their back legs taken off so they could not escape. So the gecko went for the crickets and missed and got some worms. Now he eats both.

It worked for myself and a few others. Again though I would suggest sticking to crickets as a main diet.
