This is a site where they sell "Breeder bundles" so you can get a group of geckos to breed straight away Hope this helps, I'm a bit clueless about everything else you asked, soz :P

I think the best way to get a gecko is to look for some private breeders in your area, so to avoid shipping and waiting.
If you buy from a pet store, make sure the leo is healthy, it is easy to find a good deal at a pet store.
