I use bare tubs. With around 400 leos to care for daily it is the most efficient and easiest way to control feedings and comtamination at a glance. Ugly?? YES. Time management is essential. Small shop vac comes in handy with the right attachments.

Slate as it conducts heat well and is easy to clean. I keep the cool side of my vivarium with paper towel in case my geck needs to cool down.

wups, my finger slipped, i votet ohter, but i youse beach sand, (not like caribian, bright stuff but like, hmm its gray, or light gray..

I am surprised sand is second. It is worse than most of the others there.

Sand istent a bad, substrate to use . dont know why you got this idear

Is a thin fine layer of sand really much of a problem? I mean, if you laid a thin layer of sand like the musky stuff they live on when they are on the rocky sort of environments. Almost like dust.

Try reading through the whole thread and you'll see different reasons why and why not people like or dislike sand. That's the whole point of having this thead here.
