Hi have another question about my rescue/adoption Topaz. She has gained weight well, she has finally converted over to crickets as a main staple of her diet vs only eating super worms. So we have made good progress.
Here is where another possible problem lies. Her poops were always small compared to the male (yes since I got them they have been separated) but then again he tends to only poop every 5-8 days. Then he gives me a nice big dark formed but moist poop with formed urates.
Her poop on the other hand has always been small amounts and thin bits but she tends to go more regularly(like every couple to 3 days). Since converting her to crickets she is not going as frequently. As well, the poop are different and around the 3 of November she did not for for 4 days after that date. I looked at her belly and found a dark area near her left leg, I felt it and it was hard. I was concerned she was constipated.
I got her out of her tank and into our living room for exercise for 15-20 min and then I massaged the area for as long as she would let me(5-10 min). The next morning she poop but it was grey and so dry it crumbled when I picked it up to remove it(she always poops on top of her adobe hide). Since then any poops she has had are grey not dark and so dry they crumble when picked up, they do have urates with them.
Do I just switch her back to superworms and see if that fixes the problem or does she need a vet? I did read on an exotic vet web site that all reptile poop should not be dry.
