Swelling on tail side of vent - Help!
Today while feeding our leo, my husband and I noticed swelling on the tail side of Consuelo's vent. The swelling is bilateral, but I did notice that it is a little larger on the side opposite the one in the picture. I'm not sure how long it has been this way, but it can't have been for very long. I got a picture of it, but I couldn't get anymore because my husband just noticed that he has become somewhat aggressive.

I wanted to start here to try to get some ideas, and I'm not finding a vet in our area that's open today, let alone one that treats reptiles. TIA!

can you do a picture of his underbelly? Showing tail, back legs, and tummy.
Also, how old is he?

He wont let us pick him up, but I can certainly try. I'm sure he's not feeling well because this is out of the ordinary and he's opening his mouth like he wants to bite. We're not his first owners, so all I know for sure is that he's at least 6 years old. We've had him 3, the girl before us had him 3, but I don't know how old he was when she got him.
If it's of any help, he's on repticarpet and always has been. He has a warm hide, a cool hide and a humid hide between. He won't eat crickets, so he gets mealworms and the occasional waxworm. He has access to calcium. I'll work on that pic, let me know if there's any more info I can provide.

I'm a bit embarrassed to say, I've never taken the temps for his tank. I know I should and there's really no good excuse for it, but I haven't. He eats and poops just like he should and always has.
Here's the pic:
He has lost a bit of weight recently. Again, I'm embarrassed to say that I entrusted his care to my husband only to find out he's not been taking care of him quite like he should be. I made him promise me that he would do better or else we're going to find him a new home. I never wanted to be the kind of new mom that got rid of pets because "I don't have time". But here I am.
Once I got him calmed down, I was able to touch the lumps and I'm not so sure it is something as simple as swelling. They are pretty firm and I'm not noticing any discharge.

I honestly can't see what's wrong in the picture. It looks like he has two hemipenes (bulges).
Is that what you're asking about? Why he has these two bulges?
If I'm wrong, please let me know. I don't fully understand what you see wrong. It may just be the picture.

I understand that he has hemipenes... He's a boy, I get that.
Maybe they look big to me because of his weight loss?
When I noticed them earlier, they seemed huge. I was worried that he could have an infection or something, but it just occurred to me that his weight loss could be making him look a little bigger than he used to.

I would keep an eye on it? they're normally firm, at least my males' are. If one looks significantly bigger than the other then I'd take him to a vet.
The side view picture: my males look like that. It's normal.
I don't really know what to tell you, other than keep an eye on it?
