Default Question about shedding

So my female gecko shed last night and did not eat all of her skin. She left about one arm worth of skin. I am just wondering if anyone has ever seen that before. Every time she has shed in the past she has never left any of it.

Is it normal for them to sometimes leave some skin un-eaten?
