Default Mine turned white help please

I bought the boys a couple of leo's last night brought them home and I had everything ready for them. I feed them meal worms and crickets last night. THey both ate the food. This morning I feed them again and when I got them out from under the hide one was white, I can still see the pattern on him but he turned white. He did eat a cricket running around in there but he was white. I dont know if I did something wrong or not. I put in the Calcium in a bottle cap. Put a humid hide and a regular hide over the UTH. I sure hope the little guy is ok. Please help Im new and really dont want to hurt the creature.

I wonder if this is molting but then the crabs have a really hard time and I dont want to hurt it.

It's shedding. Just make sure the humid hide is nice and moist for him. =] Adding anything he can rub up against that's hard (I use slate rocks, but not sharp edges) will help him remove it. I got the same type of rocks that are on railroad tracks.

Sounds like he's shedding, nothing to worry about.
The extra humidity in the humid hide will help, that's why it's important to keep one in there all the time. Some people just add a humid hide when they think it's time to shed, but if you don't notice or remember in time, some of the old skin could stick and cause problems.

Yep nothing to be worried about. It takes a couple hours once he's in the process of removing skin.

My girlfriend and her old roommate thought they turned white because they needed real sunlight (from the sun specifically) so they would take them outside whenever they "turned white"... When I came along I informed them it's just a shed c:
