Default Newbie Calcium Question

So I just got this little guy yesterday (I think I'm going to call him Smike) and although I've been doing a lot of reading up on this subject and searching the forums, I can't find too much about calcium supplements.

1. How do you know if it's phosphorous free? Aside from saying it on the front, how can I double check that it is phosphorous free?

2. Do I dust the crickets AND leave a little lid full of it in the tank?

Thanks!

Plus, here's a picture I got of the little guy while putting him in the new tank.

You need two different types of calcium. Calcium+D3, and Calcium without D3. Keep the Calcium without D3 in the tank at all times in a small cap. Dust with the Calcium+D3.

Other than the obvious- says so on the bottle, then I don't know. I use Rep-Cal brand for multivitamin, calcium w/d3, and calcium without. A lot of people use that brand.

Yeah, I didn't know if there was some code name to check for on the back in case it doesn't advertise it up front. Thanks!

NYCReptigirl,
congratulations on the new gecko.
i suggets you just buy a popular brand, if many others have been using it, it's got to be safe.
