it will be a week tomorrow that we have had him ( will refer to it as him for now as he is unsexed and its just easier lol ), can only see 1 or 2 in there now so will get hubby to try and get them out in a bit x

is it a good sign that he doesnt squawk at us when we go near him in his viv? he just runs away for moves slightly to avoid us ( this has happened when we have tryed to feed him off tweezers as have been a little worried about him not eating but have since found this is normal lol )

princessclark ~

I recommend using a shallow feeding dish for your leopard gecko. Just cut off the back legs of the crickets at the "knees" and they will stay in the feeding dish. Hopefully you will get more used to the crickets .

Are you lightly dusting the crickets with a phosphorous-free calcium powder with D3?

Please read all the details from these two posts: Leopard Gecko Frequently Asked Questions: Caresheet Info Plus! They are vital for the continued well-being of your leopard gecko.

yer we have been dusting them, we have switched to small mealworms at the moment which obviously stay in the feeding bowl so we can see if he is eating but as of yet he hasnt touch them although we have seen him peering into the bowl and walking through it, i removed all the crickets earlier and could only find 3 so im guessing he has perhaps eaten the other 3 that was put in there lol x

Also I HAVE FOUND 2 POOPS!! lol x never been so happy to see some in my life but its a relief to know he is doing it lol, just to clarify it is mean to look a bit like bird poo if that makes sense lol x his looked like a whity liquid with a small thin solid type bit in it x ive found videos on youtube and from what i can tell its the same lol x

Great job removing the extra crickets ! See what additional surprises you have found .

I know just what you mean about being excited about gecko poop!

It comes in three parts: the urates (white stuff), urine, and usually solid brown/black poop.
