Default Hoppers or crickets?

I started feeding my leo on crickets when I got him and now I feed hoppers. He seems to take more of an interest in the hoppers. What do you guys feed? He doesn't like meal worms and he used to love wax-worms but doesn't take them any more? Oh and he loves Mario worms every now and again.

Usually geckos are fed crickets as the main source of food, if you do plan on using hoppers make sure you still use the calcium powder so your gecko can get the source of calcium. If hes not interested just switch between the two every once in awhile and see if he eats either when he is fed.

Grasshoppers are a nutritious food . Sometimes my leo will eat Blaptica dubia.

What are Mario worms?

I feed all of mine hoppers and most of them crickets too a few just don't like crickets at all. I tried Dubia Roaches but none of my lizards liked them apart from Pookie who liked flipping them onto their backs - which was very amusing but she still wouldn't eat them lol. I feed mine calci/pheonix worms sometimes and Butterworms too as they have great calcium levels but not all of my Leopard Geckos like them. They seem to be like marmite you either love it or lothe it

Hoppers seem to be popular in England and Europe. Here in States we're more crickets & roaches folks

Yeah, it depends on the gecko, every once in awhile i will feed my adult geckos a pinkie mouse. They loooove it. It should not be used as a main source of food though, it can cause health problems such as fatty liver disease and obesity.

I feed mine hoppers as well as crickets. A diverse diet is always good. I feel hoppers have better protein and are more fattier than crickets. Some choose roaches, I do not like them, so I refuse to use them. Along with hoppers and crickets, my leos get wax worms, super worms, meal worms, silk worms, and horn worms.

Superworms (Zophobas morio) are also excellent! Waxworms are really bad news because of the extreme amount of fat. Feeding waxworms to a gecko is very similar to feeding ice cream to humans.
