Question Leopard gecko tank: Is this the right size?

I want to get my first leo's and am struggling over the tank size.

Zilla Critter Cages - Gift Shop - Reptile - PetSmart

is this a good size (20 gal) for two female leo's?

Looks like this is a 20 gallon LONG tank which measures 30 inches long. Just what you want!

Here are some additional suggestions for leos and your cage: http://www.geckosunlimited.com/commu...11-update.html

20 gallon is great. I currently house two females in a 20 gallon tank like that. Just make sure to give 2 huts and what not. If not, they'll share a hut if its big enough, if not, they may fight over it lol.

2 adult female leos will fit cofortably in a 20 gallon. Nocturnal basking spot 24-7,
90-95 degrees to the far end of one side and a cave/hide halfway on and halfway off the hottest point so your geckos can bask in security. On the coolside you'll want a moist hide, I like a sealed storage container with a 1&1/2 inch hole cut or drilled in the lid and a shallow water dish.

If you have a Petco around, they have sales going on and their 20 gallon is cheaper. Just thought to let you know. They often have $1 per gallon sale, so a 20 gallon would only cost you $20. You would have to buy the mesh top but it's only $15 usually for a 20 long. Sometimes they also have the one you linked on sale for $40.

Hi just lizards inc. ~

A hearty welcome to Geckos Unlimited!

We recommend that the moist hide for leos be placed on the warm end of the tank and a 2nd hide placed on the cool side.

With two leos, make sure your hides are large enough to accommodate both.
